About Me

I was born in Cuba in 1984, but I moved while my teenage to Barcelona, the city where I grew up and my heart rooted and found its place. I am into photography since 2003 and from that point on, I have worked as Freelance in different projects, together with theater companies, actors, models, audiovisual projects, bands of different genres, but in particular, with Rock and Metal genre, getting to work with bands from the local scene as Angelus Apatrida, Crisix, Aggression, and international as Onslaught or Terrorizer and numerous publications in specialized media in this field, as in The Metal Circus.

Another aspect where i develop my work is in Fine Art Photography, which gave me the opportunity to exhibits some of my projects, to achieve photography awards and even the acquisition of my work for some private collections. My main interests are based on body language and its emotions, as well as what faces and people in general can say, in fact, its lights and darkness, their desires and feelings.

Moreover, for seven years I worked in ELISAVA School of Design, performing tasks as photographer in the Department of Communication and Marketing, management of the photo studio and analog laboratory, and supporting the students in their use. At the same time since 2010 I have taught several photography workshops in civic or cultural centers such as Can Xic and Can Batllori, from photo to initiates, to portraits, social reportage, travel or night photography, among others. In 2008 I finished my studies of Artistic Photography at the School of Art and Design Serra i Abella, and then I complemented my visual education graduating in Art History at the University of Barcelona (UB) in 2016. I am currently doing a Master in Music as Interdisciplinary Arts at UB, because my relationship with music has always been quite close. I aspire to prepare for teaching photography and arts in general in superior education in the near future. I always feel ready and keen to collaborate on new projects and ideas people suggest me.  So do not hesitate to get in touch with me!
